Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 5, 2026
In short: Escape.exe has no accounts and no servers of its own, and I don't receive any of your data. Your game is saved only on your iPhone. If you choose to watch an ad to skip a wait, it's shown by Google AdMob, which does process data according to what you allow. Purchases are processed by Apple.
Who is responsible
Escape.exe is a game developed by Laila Weil. For any privacy question, write to support@escape-exe-game.com.
What the game stores on your iPhone
So you can pick up where you left off, the game keeps in the app's local storage:
- your progress (the day, your choices, memory fragments and the session in progress);
- your settings (language and sound);
- whether you've unlocked days 3 to 7;
- how many ads you've watched today, to enforce the daily limit.
This data never leaves your device for me or for any game server. It may be included in your iPhone backups, which Apple manages according to your settings. It's deleted when you uninstall the app; progress can also be erased from the pause menu with “start over”.
Notifications
If you allow them, the game schedules local notifications to tell you when a character is back or the next night begins. They're scheduled on your iPhone: no server sends them and no identifier is registered. You can turn them off at any time in Settings > Notifications > Escape.exe.
Purchases
Days 1 and 2 are free; days 3 to 7 unlock with a one-time purchase through the App Store. Apple processes the payment: I don't receive your name, email or payment details, only Apple's confirmation that the game is unlocked on your account. See Apple's privacy policy.
Ads (optional)
The game has real-time waits. If you don't want to wait, you can watch a rewarded ad to skip it. An ad never appears unless you ask for one.
Ads are served by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited in the European Economic Area and Switzerland; Google LLC elsewhere). To show an ad, measure it and prevent fraud, Google's SDK may process data such as:
- your IP address and an approximate location derived from it;
- device data (model, iOS version, language);
- your interaction with the ad and diagnostic data;
- Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow it.
Your choices
- Tracking (App Tracking Transparency): the first time you ask for an ad, iOS asks whether you allow tracking. If you say no, Google doesn't receive the IDFA and ads aren't personalized with it. The game works the same either way. You can change this in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Consent in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland: when you open the game in those regions you see Google's consent form, before any ad is loaded. You can change your choice at any time from the pause menu, under “[privacy]”.

What the game doesn't do
- It doesn't ask for an account, email or name.
- It has no analytics of its own and no third-party tracking tools other than the ads SDK.
- It doesn't access your contacts, photos, microphone, camera or precise location.
- It doesn't sell or share personal data, because it doesn't receive any.
This website
escape-exe-game.com uses no cookies, analytics or external fonts. It's hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to serve the pages and protect them from attacks.
Children
Escape.exe is not directed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect data from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the European Union or the FADP in Switzerland) you have the right to access, correct or delete your data, or to object to its processing. Since the game doesn't send me any data, I have nothing of yours to hand over or delete; for ad data you can use the choices above or contact Google. If you have questions, write to me and I'll help. You can also lodge a complaint with your country's data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes, I'll update the date above. If a change affects how your data is processed, I'll also mention it in the app's update notes.
